Dumble Tone? -- Inevitably, especially considering the forums we hang out on, someone will ask "can you get the Dumble tone with your pedal?" We didn't set out to clone a Dumble Amplifier with the FET Dream, but we did aim for versatility in our distortion tone. Our friend Dave might help answer the question with the following clip... a Jazz/Fusion piece in C minor. Settings: Girth 2:00, Drive 1:00, Lean 11:00 and Level 1:00; Guitar: 1968 ES-345, Amp: Fender Super 60 head (clean channel), Cab & Speakers: Avatar 2 x 12 with Delta-Pro 12A & WGS CL80, the drivers were separately mic'd with a Cad Trion 7000 ribbon on the Delta, Audix i5 on the CL80,and a little bit of echo was added to one. You be the judge!

Jazz/Blues Samplers -- These three clips give you a feeling for a low-gain jazzy style distortion for three different guitars: a Tele, Rose Strat and ES345. The Tele and 345 used high Girth Settings and the Strat used low Girth and moderately high Lean settings. The recording chain: FET Dream pedal, Bassman-style boutique tube amp head, TL806 style ported cabinet with Celestion G12 Century neo, Apex 210 Ribbon Mic with some 'room' reverb added to the guitar track during mix-down.

Pure Blues Samplers -- These clips feature blues-purist JW-Jones soloing over tracks courtesy of The Ultimate Blues Jam practice tracks. Stereo separation keeps the solo track separate from background rhythm. The recording chain: FET Dream pedal, Dumble-style tube amp head, TL806 style ported cabinet with Celestion G12 Century neo, Apex 210 Ribbon Mic with some 'room' reverb added to the guitar track during mix-down.
